Hi Crysta

Hi-Crysta is the best of both worlds, hybrid filler for toughness and durability and micro filler for smooth translucent restorations. It is a supreme generation of micro/hybrid light cure composite suitable for anterior and posterior applications as part of sandwich technique. The balance and choice of fillers has achieved an excellent product in all respects including close to nature shade match. It consists of an organic' matrix, which is heavily filled with coupled and cross-linked with a new generation of high translucency glass filler. The shade match to the tooth is excellent and the LC composite can be polished even though it naturally gives a very smooth high lustre and finish.

  •          Easy to apply.
  •          Closely matched to natural shades.
  •          Made from a blend of supreme resins and hybrid fillers.
  •          Light Curing composite
  •          Gives a smooth and high luster finish.
IFU Shade selection: Before restoring polish tooth with oil-free Prophy paste and select shade by placing VITA LUMIN against wet tooth in day light or day light corrected lamp. Please note shade guide in not provided. Cavity preparation; Minimal cavity preparation is desirable. Ensure the enamel margins are levelled to maximize acid etching and bonding strength. Ensure all the residual amalgam and old restoration is removed. Before applying bond, isolate tooth and make sure it is kept dry throughout the procedure, as moisture will interfere with bonding and strength of restoration. Pulp protection: It is advisable to line the deepest part of the cavity with a dot of Calcium hydroxide liner such as Carecal or Calbase LC. Do not use an eugenol based liner.   Sandwich technique: If the cavity is very deep then line the deepest part of cavity with hard setting Calcium hydroxide liner. Then line the rest of the cavity with glass-ionomer liner such as Restobase. The liner can be laid in thick layers reaching the enamel-dentinal junction. This will reduce the thickness of composite and help to achieve full light core throughout and also assists in reducing pressure caused by expansions and contraction of composites. Following this the whole area can be acid etched including the glass ionomer. APPLICATION OF HI-CRYSTA:  Syringe: The required amount of LC Composite is removed from the syringe to fill the prepared retentive cavity.   CURE OF LC COMPOSITES: Each surface of restoration should be exposed for at least 10 seconds and additional curing should be carried out buccal and lingual walls. Where pins are in position, it is useful to cure the material around them first and then re-pack the rest. Use cellophone strip, celluloid crowns and celluloid cervical matrix, to hold the restoration and cure through these.   CONTOUR/POLISHING/FINISHING: The restoration is easily contoured by fine fast diamond burs. Composite finishing stones should be used to return the surface to a smooth finish. The polishing is carried out by using polishing strips, disc with fine grit Xcem Prophy paste. Final gloss and seal is achieved by painting glaze onto the restoration. STORAGE: Do not store above 23°C. Always replace cap after use. Protect from heat and light.   CAUTION: Hi-crysta contains resin and dilutent/monomer from methacrylate family. Skin allergy, although rare, is a possibility in some individuals. If irritation is suspected, remove composite from skin and wash thoroughly with soap and water. Avoid contact with eyes, if contact occurs, wash immediately with plenty of water.

Xcem’s Acid Etch offers precise placement of gel even in relatively inaccessible areas.

The Etching Gel(Acid Etch) enclosed is water based 35°C-37°C Phosphoric acid gel, used for etching enamel and dentin to increase adhesion of bonding agent adhesives to tooth structure and restorative materials. The gel is blue in color for easy identification against tooth structure.

Dispensing from a syringe through pre-bent small gauge needles, it offers precise placement of gel even in relatively inaccessible area.

DIRECTIONS FOR USE:

Prepare tooth and cleanse the enamel surface tube etched with non-oil containing Prophy Paste.

Rinse and dry thoroughly.

Using the syringe with a dispensing needle attached, apply the gel directly to the tooth. Recommended etching time for enamel is 20 seconds.

Rinse off Acid Etch with plenty of water.

Do not disturb this surface.

Leave surface wet or dry surface with clean uncontaminated air, depending on the instructions for use for the bonding system you are using.

NOTE: On primary teeth or teeth with high Fluoride content a 60-120 seconds Acid Etch is recommended.

Rinse thoroughly for 20 seconds.

Acid Etched enamel should have a chalky appearance.

WARNING: Acid Etch contains Phosphoric acid (37%) and it is highly corrosive. If Acid Etch comes in contact with hands or soft tissues, rinse off immediately with plenty of water.
