Suretemp is a self-cured resin type temporary crown and bridge material. It comes in 50ml self-mixed (automix) syringe and is available in vita shades. It is generally non-hazardous product but special care is recommended whilst using this product. It is designed to use as both short and long term temporary crown and bridge material. Light cure composites are compatible to use with Suretemp for aesthetic contouring of temporary crowns and for marginal repairs. CONTRADICTION: Use is contradicted if a patient has a known allergic reaction to Methacrylate resins. ADVERSE REACTION: Allergic reaction may occur on susceptible people. HOW TO USE: Take an impression of quadrant with alginate or silicone before preparation of tooth. Out of the impression, trim the inter dental gingival areas to provide bulk for the later finish of the Suretemp. Where the teeth are absent in the molar areas, the carving in the inter proximal areas should made a ridge for pontic contact between the prepared teeth. NOTE: Until Suretemp material is inserted, store alginate impression at 100% humidity. HOW TO USE: Remove the cap by rotating anti-clockwise. Be sure there are no plugs, if any plugs block the flow, remove it first and ensure the flow is constant and make sure both, base and catalyst are flowing smoothly and equally. Wipe away excess. Place the mixing tip and dispense a small size mixture of base and catalyst to ensure the flow is accurate. As the material mix and run smoothly, inject the material into deepest part of the preliminary impression and then into the gingival areas. To avoid the bubbles, keep the mixing tip immersed in the material. Within 45 seconds, reseat the preliminary impression into patient's mouth for approximately 2-3 minutes, leave in place from start of the mix. NOTE: You may use the lubricant to assist in removal from the mouth. When the suretemp is at the firm elastic stage removes it and carefully monitor the curing process because removal is only possible during the elastic phase. NOTE: Mouth temperature significantly influences set time. PREPARING THE TEMPORARY RESTORATION: Remove the excess material and proximal undercuts with rotary instruments after removal of Suretemp from tooth preparation or preliminary impression. From 6-7minutes from start of mix, when curing has been completed, further refinements and polishing of temporary restoration can be made. With ethanol gauze or by the finishing and polishing process remove the oxygen inhibited. LUTING THE TEMPORARY RESTORATION: It can be cemented with commonly used luting agents. However eugenol containing cements can have deleterious influence on composite resin luting systems. REPAIRING: Surtemp temporary restoration has a tendency of excellent mechanical properties. Following procedure is recommended if breakage occurs: Connect breakpoints with a fresh mix of Suretmp material in the newly made temporary restoration. Roughen the surface of the breakpoint and the undercuts in the adjacent areas in case of breakage of an older/worn temporary restoration. Use the freshly made material to connect the parts and hold in place for at least 1-7 minutes to allow fully cure. VLC composites can be used to add onto freshly cured Suretemp temporary material. CAUTIONS: Do not contact with eyes/skin, if contact occurs wash immediately with plenty of water and seek medical advice if necessary. If swallowed, contact doctor immediately. Do not inhale, in case of nausea/de positioning, contact the doctor immediately. Do not contact with sewage system. Store the syringe closed securely in normal room temperature in a good ventilated area. Keep away from heat and moisture. Store dry. Wipe the extra before storing to avoid contamination.
